Rubber Roll

Rubber Roll

Printer Rubber Roll is made by applying rubber material on the rol surface. The rubber is selected according to the purpose of the product. Most common types of rubbers used for the process include SEP (EPDM + silicon), EPDM (ethylene propylene diene M-class), NBR (nitrile-butadiene rubber), urethane, and ,
RTV (room temperature vulcanizing).
Rubber rolls are widely used in the field of film printing, because of its heat resistance, oil resistance,

Rubber characteristics by type
NBR(Nitrile-Butadiene Rubber)
It is one of the most popular oil-resistant synthetic rubber and has remarkable advantages such as heat-resistance, wear resistance, and mechanical properties.
Because of its excellent workability, it is most widely used in various industries from printers to textile, woodworking, paper making, and steel production.
Silicon (Silicon Rubber)
This rubber has excellent heat resistance and cold resistance. It is especially heat resistant compared to other types of rubber and, therefore, widely used in high temperature
In addition to heat resistance, it has remarkable weather resistance, chemical resistance and elongation, and superior non-stick properties and elastic rebound and, therefore, is used for various purposes in film processing.
When used for P.V.C manufacturing in embossing or calendar machine, it gives better matte finish compared to synthetic rubber.
EPDM(Ethylene Proplene Diene Monomer)
One of the most popular chemical-resistant rubber, it has good elastic rebound but not a high level of wear resistance. However, because of its good aging resistance, ozone resistance, acid resistance, water resistance, and cold resistance, it is widely used for coating roll, printing roll, development roll, and corrosion roll that require chemical resistance.
In addition to heat resistance, it has excellent non-stick properties for P.V.C and, therefore, is widely used for sheet production, calendar and embossing machine.
Urethane
Urethane rubber is processed in a liquid form and has excellent wear-resistance and mechanical properties, which make it useful for various industrial rolls such as wheels.
Despite the high wear resistance, it is weak against chemicals and heat. A product with outstanding Melting characteristic at low hardness level has been developed and is used as a coating roll.
RTV(Room Temperture Vuicanizing)
Also known as liquid silicon, it consists of Raw meterial and hardener. It is mainly used for mold making, but its non-stick properties issues in synthetic rubber and silicon rolls have been addressed by applying it to a rubber roll and the sheet seam has been completely improved.
It has similar resistance against heat and cold to that of silicon, and outstanding non-stick properties, non-adhesion, and resistance against D.O.P solvent, which make it suitable for sheet and film manufacturing. It also has excellent matte finish.
